Who Am I
I earned my initial qualification way back in 1990 from Farnborough College of Tech. Back then it was the industry leading qualification.
From there I worked in a few gyms, learning the ropes and applying what I knew.
In 1997, I had the good fortune to be able to provide personalised training to employees at Goldman Sachs. I worked there for the next 22 years with mostly senior partners and managing directors.
After covid, I decided it was time to go. Now I work with a handful of private clients helping them to stay strong, healthy and capable to do all the things they want to be able to, whilst supporting them in their high-pressure careers.
My learning constantly evolves and I’m a great believer in challenging things I previously thought to be true.
Most of my work is focused on helping people remain capable. I believe your body should support the life you’re building, not slowly limit it.
Simply, you should be able to move without limits. It isn’t physical therapy. It’s not personal training. It’s proactive coaching so you can feel better today and for the future.
You’re not just fixing a problem. You are taking proactive control of your life. I believe if you want a better quality of your life, your training should match those demands.

Having spent 22yrs at Goldman I understand how hard it can be to fit training into a busy and stressful work life and remain consistent when the pressure is on.

I won’t be encouraging optimisation. People do all sorts of bizarre things to ‘optimise’ their performance or life and yet they fail to consistently show up and practice nailing the basics.
